How to embed or include flash files into HTML pages

We have few flash files with us and want to include them in the HTML pages to expose them as webpages. If you do not have flash files, we can download them from the web pages. To know how to download the flash files click here.

For including the Flash file in to internet explorer (IE) we use the <EMBED> tag.  The flash file location is mentioned in the “src” attribute. The example code is below –

<embed
src=”tape.swf”
loop=”false”
quality=”high”
width=”100%”
height=”105″
name=”tape”
align=”middle”
allowScriptAccess=”sameDomain”
wmode=”transparent”
type=”application/x-shockwave-flash”                   pluginspage=http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer
/>
</embed>

For including the Flash file in to Netscape browser we use the <object> tag. The flash file location is mentioned in the “value” attribute.The example code is below –

<object
classid=”clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000″ codebase=”http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,0,0&#8243; width=”550″
height=”105″
id=”tape”
align=”center”>
<param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”sameDomain” />
<param name=”movie” value=”http://mcslas11.central.masco.corp:7778/portal/page/portal/ExternalPortal/TestPage/tape.swf&#8221; />
<param value=”false” />
<param value=”high” />
<param value=”transparent” />
</object>

Now you can view the flash file in your HTML page.
